Firestone Liberia Announces Recipients of the 2011/2012 Scholarship Program

Firestone Liberia is pleased to inform the public that the application and review periods for the 2011-2012 Firestone Liberia Scholarship have ended. CONGRATULATIONS to the following individuals who have qualified to receive scholarships for the 2011-2012 academic year. These students achieved grades of 80% and above in both their academic work (Overall GPA) and the Firestone Liberia Scholarship Placement Test.

All Scholarship recipients listed above and their parents, both current and new, are invited to the Awards Ceremony to be held on August 25, 2011 at the Firestone Liberia Field House from 4PM to 6PM. Award packets will be given to students during the ceremony. Please bring your picture ID for verification.

The Firestone Medical Center at Duside recently hosted a team of surgeons and nurses from Children’s Surgeries International to perform nearly 100 free surgeries on some of West Africa’s most underprivileged youth. Read more at CSI’s blog on the mission.
