Brick by Brick: The Business of Rebuilding Liberia

Lexington Business Highlights Book Donation

A recently published Lexington Business article tells the remarkable story of Mosoka Fallah, a Liberian graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in biomedical science at the University of Kentucky.

Considerable obstacles marked Fallah's long journey to graduate studies in Lexington. His family at times had to choose between spending money on education and food. Civil war caused the University of Liberia to close multiple times; it took Fallah 10 years to finish his undergraduate degree.

Firestone Liberia shares Fallah's commitment to education and is thrilled to have partnered with him and the International Book Project to provide free shipping for more than 8,000 English, math and science textbooks through our Donation Cargo Program. The books have been delivered to primary schools, secondary schools and universities all across Liberia.
