Brick by Brick: The Business of Rebuilding Liberia

Education Key to Liberia's Future

Whenever I have the chance, I remind young people of the great importance education plays in post-war Liberia. I recently had such an opportunity to speak to a group of students in Virginia, Montserrado County, while celebrating United Nations Day. Firestone Liberia rewarded their dedication to learning with 12 computers and seven Tiger Generators (electricity is not generally available throughout Liberia except by small generator). In Harbel, the Firestone School System held an assembly that day to also talk to students about the importance of that world body.
