Donation Cargo Program Update
I’m pleased to report that so far this year we have approved 23 applications for free shipping from charities requesting space aboard our cargo ships for items they wish to donate to the Liberian people. Eighteen of the donations have already been shipped to Liberia.
Firestone's Donation Cargo Program allows charitable organizations to reserve space for free on our cargo ships to Liberia for relief goods and other donated items, such as non-perishable food, medical supplies, clothing and school books.
Participating charities include the Bridge of Hope Foundation, 3 Angels Mission Operations, New Life Church of Staten Island, Containers of Hope and Liberian Children’s Schooling Project, Inc.
