Firestone Liberia Works to Ease Food Shortages

With growing food shortages in Liberia, Firestone is working to help the government locate and transport more rice to the Liberian people. At the government's request, Firestone, through its Purchasing and Shipping groups, is working with the Ministry of Agriculture to ease the effects of a potential food crisis.

In addition to aiding the government, Firestone has for many years made rice available to its employees at significantly subsidized prices.
